Raipur city Mayor Dr Kiranmayee Nayak will present the fifth and last annual budget of her five-year-long term as Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) on July 11 this year.
The Mayor will present the budget for ongoing financial year 2014-15 during a General Meeting of RMC called by the Speaker, Sanjay Shrivastava.“The meeting will be held at 11 am in the Municipal Corporation’s meeting hall” informed RMC Secretary, Dr Preetam Mishra in a press release issued on Wednesday.Before this, Nayak had presented the civic body’s annual budget for the financial year 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
Mishra said that after the budget presentation, a discussion will be held by the MIC members on the pre-decided issues.Notably, Nayak had secured around 7 lakh votes to become the first lady Mayor of the city in the civic body election in 2009. Her official tenure is from January 2010 to 2015.
