Under the aegis of Union Club, late Shri Gopi Chandnani memorial doubles tennis tourney will begin from December 13, Sunday. The two-day long tournament will be held in three categories (45, 55 and 65 years).
As per the information received, the award of `5000 cash will be conferred on winners of each category while `3000 to runners-up. The championship will be inaugurated by Raipur Mayor Pramod.
In another event, Pragati College under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Government’s Higher Education Department has organised an inter-college (Raipur sector) tennis tournament in the city on Saturday.
Based on performance, Utkarsh Mishra of Adarsh Mandi College, Durgesh Sahu (Government Chhattisgarh College), Manu Prakash Mishra and Adarsh Shukla of Pragati College have been selected for the team of Raipur sector.
