lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Thursday said that she will think over adopting Chhattisgarh Assembly’s rule of automatic suspension of legislators storming to the Well of the House in the lok Sabha.
She was addressing the two-day Orientation Programme organised at Chhattisgarh Assembly premises for the legislators.
Mahajan said that the legislators must differentiate between speeches given on the streets and in the House.
She said that MlAs should be regular in attending Assembly sessions and should strive towards solving problems of people by raising their concerns in the House.
While knowing their legislative rights, the MlAs must also be aware towards their duties, Mahajan said.
