“Due to violent acts of Maoists, the development process in the insurgency-hit region of Bastar would not get hindered. To give this message, I am going to visit an insurgency affected region of Bastar at Bacheli” while continuing my ‘Vikas Yatra’, said Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday.
He was talking to media persons here at helipad at Police Parade Ground .
The Chief Minister while replying to a query on Maoist attack on Congress party convoy at Jhreeram valley in Bastar in May 2013, and its probe status said that judicial enquiry into the matter was going on.
“Though the probe had taken time as statements of witnesses are being recorded, the committee will provide justice in the case”, he said.
To a question regarding complaint of Congress party that proper security is not provided to them during their programmes, Singh denied and said whenever the Congress party had demanded the security, it had been provided to the leaders. “If they have to organize programmes in Naxal infested areas security would be provided to them if demanded”, he said.
