An accused in the Antagarh bribery case, Manturam Pawar has denied providing voice sample to Special Investigation Team (SIT).
He was called on Monday but even though he turned up before the SIT, he denied providing the sample.
Later talking to media persons, Manturam said he would think of providing the sample only if the high court, where the case was pending, ordered to do so.
“The entire matter is in the purview of the High Court and I can think of providing the voice sample if the court instructs me to do so. The SIT does not have any such court orders and hence I denied providing the sample”, he said.
Manturam also alleged action by Baghel government with malicious intention and said the formation of the SIT itself was against the rule and that he had objected of it in the court. He further claimed that he was falsely implicated of bribery charge, and would be proves not guilty.
