Principal Secretary RP Mandal recently convened a meeting of the officials here in Korba and assessed the progress of implementation of various key departmental schemes in Korba district. He also took stock of Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan and advised the officials to make it a grand success. During the meeting, Mandal instructed the Corporation officials to launch the drive for maintaining cleanliness.
Mandal also stressed for the active participation of every section of the society in the campaign. He stated that government officials, by keeping their offices clean, can set an example before others. Similar instructions were issued for health centers, school premises, ashrams and schools.
Mandal instructed the officials of PHE department to expedite the construction of lavatories in different locations of the district. He took stock of the construction of lavatories in the schools of SECl, NTPC, lANCO, BAlCO and other industrial establishments. Instructions for opening the bank account under Jan Dhan Yojana were also issued.
