Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday arrested a man for killing his in-laws in Janjgir-Champa district. Two accomplices involved in the murder are at large.
Janjgir-Champa Superintendent of Police Dr Abhishek Pallava identified him as Dinesh Khunte (27) of Muktiraja village.
The bodies of the elderly couple -- Vijay Ram and wife Mangli Bai -- were found by the neighbours on Monday in Kaitha village.
The couple had a son and four daughters.
During investigation, police learnt that Khunte, one of the youngest son-in-laws, of the couple had frequent rows with them over some issues. He was detained.
Initially he refused any involvement but later confessed his role in the crime.
Khunte told police that his in-laws beat him when he complained to them about his wife’s extra marital affair. An enraged Khunte killed them on March 27-28 night with the help of two accomplices.
A court has sent Khunte to jail.
