A 21-year-old man sustained serious burn injuries after an explosion in a chemical container at a scrap shop here on Thursday.
Farookh of Uttar Pradesh had come to meet his brother-in-law in the shop in Santoshi Nagar area when the incident occurred, Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police (West) D.C. Patel said.
The shop belongs to Ashraf Khan of Raipur city.
