Chhattisgarh Police on Saturday arrested a 41-year-old man for smuggling cannabis and seized a pistol and live cartridges from him in the Siltara Industrial area on the outskirts of Raipur city.
Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal identified him as Bunty Sapha of Kabir Nagar area.
Sapha was arrested when he was looking for customers for the contraband.
He told the police that he brought the consignment from Odisha. The police seized cannabis valued at Rs 2 lakh, a pistol, two live cartridges and a motorcycle.
