Chhattisgarh Police on Monday seized 102 kg cannabis valued at Rs 10.20 lakhs and arrested a man for transporting it to Madhya Pradesh from Odisha. Three persons managed to escape.
Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi Additional Superintendent of Police Archana Jha identified him as Ashok Gupta (40). Durgesh Pandey (34), Deep Narayan Dwivedi alias Deepu (38) and Irfan Khan (30) escaped.
All four are residents of Madhya Pradesh.
The police intercepted two cars following a tip that the contraband was being transported to Madhya Pradesh via the Bilaspur-Ratanpur road.
While Gupta was nabbed, the others fled from the spot.
