'Make arrangements for PM address to students'

Published on:

The District Administration has made arrangements to facilitate students for viewing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address from 3 to 4.45 pm on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5.

Collector Niranjan Das issued directives to the officers in this regard on Friday.

Das directed the District Education Officer and Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Welfare Department to ensure 100 per cent attendance of teachers and students on the Teacher’s Day.

He said that the timing of schools on Teachers Day should be from 11 am to 5 pm and all the students should be present in uniform. The Teacher’s Day programme should be organised from 11 am to 1 pm with simplicity and dignity.

The students should be served lunch at 2 pm along with guardians, village sarpanchs and other distinguished citizens  invited for the occasion.

Das said that the Prime Ministers’ speech will start at 3 pm and thus all preparations should be done after Mid-day meal. Television sets should be made available in schools for live transmission of Prime Minister’s address to the students.

In schools which do not have television, the Project Director of District Rural Development Authority should arrange televisions in rural areas while Chief Municipal Officer of Municipalities should arrange the same in schools in urban areas,

added Das.
