The Maitri Mahila Samiti of NTPC Korba recently distributed bicycles among contractual labourers and domestic helpers working in NTPC Township as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Aiming to strengthen people in the region, the Samiti distributed bicycles among 265 people in the presence of Korba MP Banshi lal Mahto and the NTPC Group General Manager Prakash Tiwari, a NTPC press release informed.
Similarly, the Samiti had distributed around 70 bicycles to women of rural areas.
Moreover, the Samiti has organized an annual function for students studying in four adult literacy centers (including Yamuna Vihar, Darri, Indira Nagar and Ayodhyapuri) being run by it.
On the occasion, Mahto conferred certificates to as many as 150 students of adult literacy centers.
The programme was presided over by President of the Samiti, Seema Tiwari.
