A Model Adult Education Centre (MAEC) at Gram Panchayet Chilphi in Kabirdham district was inaugurated under the joint supervision of State Resource Centre, Raipur (SRC) and State literacy Mission Authority (SlMA) . The Centre was inaugurated by Kabirdham MlA Ashok Sahu who was the chief guest on the occasion.
Consequent to an MoU between National literacy Mission (NlMA) and Rural Electrification Corporation limited (RECl), the State Resource Centre, Raipur (SRC) was assigned to establish 10 Model Adult Education Centers (MAECs) under the guidance of (NlMA) and with the financial aid of RECl.
These were to function as single–window information and multi-activity centers in the rural area enabling Saakshar Bharat project to carry out its mission of changing India from a learning society to the learned Society.The function was chaired by Videshi Ram Dhurve, Executive President, Jila Panchayet, Kabirdham. Tuhin Deb, Director, SRC, was the special guest of honour.
