Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday informed the Chhattisgarh Assembly that the State Government has targetted to commence commercial power production from both the units of 500x2 MW Madwa Thermal Power Plant (TPP) during the current month.
In a written reply to Congress member Motilal Dewangan, the Chief Minister said that the trials for the first unit of the plant was held between June 23 to 29, 2015.
He informed that the first unit of the plant was shut down on account of the Coal Crusher Plant still being under construction. The construction work for the second unit of the plant is underway, Singh said.
