Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Mayoral candidate Madhusudhan Yadav campaigned in ward numbers 39, 40, 48, 38 and 41 on Friday and sought the support of voters.

During the campaigning, he appealed people to bring BJP to power in the urban bodies polls. In last election, the voters had elected a Congress nominee for mayor in Rajnandgaon, the home constituency of Chief Minister Raman Singh. In meeting with the ward residents on Friday, Yadav urged them to show the same spirit as during assembly and lok Sabha polls and support the BJP for development.

Addressing a gathering at Basantpur, Chowkhadiya Para and Nandai Chowk, the former lok Sabha MP Yadav said, “it is my responsibility to bring overall development in Rajnandgaon if people elect me as the mayor’’. Yadav also opened the party election office in ward numbers 41, 48, 49, 50 and 51. He was accompanied by BJP district general secretary Komal Singh Rajput, Suresh Bhimnani, Ajit Jain and other party workers.
