The Housing and Environment Department in Chhattisgarh on Saturday allowed the use of loudspeakers on the eve of New Year and on New Year.
The guidelines state that the permission will be granted from 10.00 to 12 midnight on the nights of December 31 and January 1.
All the district Collectors and Superintendents of Police have been given the directive. But they were told to ensure strict compliance of rules governing noise pollution.
