On the occasion of Bastar Dussehra, divisional level late Baliram Kashyap Memorial Kabaddi tournament was kicked off at Hataground, location of Bastar Dussehra lokotsav, on Sunday. Subdivisional magistrate Tanuja Salam was the chief guest.
In Men’s category, five matches were held. In the first match Jagdalpur defeated Sukma by 6 points, in second match Dantewada scored victory over Narayanpur by 6 points, in third match Baderajpur defeated Bijapur by 38 points, in fourth match bastar scored victory over Charama by 20 point, while the fifth match was won by Bhanupratappur by defeating Bastanad with 19 points.
In girls section to matches were held in which lohandiguda defeated Bakawand by 13 points whereas in second match Darbha defeated Bastanar by 9 points.
First semi final of the tournament was held between lohandiguda and Jagdalpur in which lohandiguda defeated Jagdalpur by 11 points and entered the final. On this occasion Yogendra Pandey, Bhanwar Bothra, Bastar District Olympic Sangh NR Parashar and Chawla were also present.
