For the first time, all liquor and meat shops will be closed on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami on Monday (August 30) in Chhattisgarh, the government announced on Sunday.

Visitors to temples and religious places must maintain a distance of six feet. Only asymptomatic persons should be given entry. There will be no distribution of prasad.
A similar order was issued on Saturday by the Raipur Collector.
