liberty Group – the second largest footwear manufacturing company in India has drawn up ambitious expansion plans for Chhattisgarh through opening of more stores in the current financial year.
“We are focussing on under represented markets such as Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Kerala to have a sizeable presence,” Anupam Bansal, Executive Director, liberty Group told reporters here on Wednesday.
He said that, currently, liberty Group has two company owned stores in Raipur and one in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. ‘We intend to expand further into other cities of Chhattisgarh.’
Bansal said that the company is on a fashion forward journey and has drawn up an aggressive retail expansion plan for the entire country. “The company plans to expand its reach to all tier-I, II and III cities with plans to open 100 new stores during the current financial year,” he said.
