leader of Opposition in the Chhattisgarh Assembly TS Singh Deo on Monday demanded in the House that the ruling party must get the probe on Maoist courier network recently unearthed by the State Police handled by the CBI.
“It has been noticed that whenever Maoist couriers were being caught in Raipur, the State Government had been issuing a statement that it is investigating the matter. The people of the State have this impression that the Government is trying to hush up such cases,” the Congress leader said during the adjournment motion on Maoist violence in the House. Over the development record of Sarguja and Bastar regions during the ruling party’s rule, the leader of Opposition said that the reality could be gauged from the number of Congress party MlAs now winning from the two regions.
