The state-owned power companies on Thursday hosted a lecture on Cancer prevention in Raipur. The programme was held under the banner of Officer’s Club was addressed by well-known Cancer specialist Dr Suman Mittal and Cancer Surgeon Dr Mau Rai.
According to information received, the doctors delivered lecture on cancer of the Breast and Uterus. Meanwhile, the doctors highlighted the importance of lifestyle and eating habits in prevention of deadly diseases. Besides, they also told the gathering that with timely treatment, a person suffering from Cancer could also live a healthy life with the help of medicines.
The doctors also called upon the public to inculcate the habit of regular physical exercise in their routine and quit the habit of chewing tobacco, smoking (and other addiction) to protect them from Cancer.
Earlier, addressing the inaugural ceremony of the lecture, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Holding Company limited (CSPHCl) Anup Garg said women are the foundation of any family so their health condition largely affects family and keeping this in mind, the power companies organised the lecture for its female employees and their relatives. On the occasion, Chief Medical Officer of the power companies Dr H l Pansari pointed out the importance of awareness among people about cancer, its prevention and treatment.
