Providing last chance for the verification of documents of candidates who had applied online for the post of medical officers, the Department of Health and Family Welfare has set July 15, 16 and 17 as the last date for verification work.
Failing to do so, the names of the candidates will be struck off from the list of selected candidates. The department has invited online application for appointment of medical officers in government hospitals. The department has asked the candidates selected in first list to get their documents including mark sheet, degree-diploma certificate and other certificates examined and verified. However, most of the selected candidates did not turn up for verification.
The department has given a last chance to the selected candidates and asked them to reach the Directorate of Health in Old Mantralaya building from 11am–3pm for verification of the documents. The officers of the department said that the candidates selected in the first list will have to get their documents examined and verified by a committee constituted at Directorate level for the purpose.
Failing to do so on the given dates, the name of the candidate will be removed from the list of selected candidates, they added.
It is worth mentioning that the department is suffering due to shortage of doctors and taking all possible steps to get qualified doctors for government hospitals. The situation is very grim in Naxal affected areas where most of the Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs) and dispensaries have no doctors.
