A Chhattisgarh cabinet sub-committee meant to consider issues of farmers of Nava Raipur on Wednesday decided to send a proposal to the Cabinet for grant of lease in Layer 1 villages.
A panel meeting held at Nava Raipur was chaired by Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey.
Cabinet Ministers Mohammad Akbar and Shiv Kumar Dahriya and Abhanpur MLA Dhanendra Sahu were present as members, an official communication said.
The panel held discussions on the issues of the farmers of Nava Raipur. Finally, it was decided to send the proposal to the cabinet for grant of lease on the basis of actual possession in the village of Layer 1.
In Layer 2, it was agreed that the district administration will give pattas (ownership) to the occupiers occupying government land.
