Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma on Friday inpected the construction site of industrial area at Lakhanpuri in Kanker district of Bastar.
Notably, the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (CSIDC) on April 19, 2017 had decided to set up a new industrial area at Lakahnpuri at Charama tehsil in insurgency infested Kanker district of Bastar, officials informed.
The facility would be established under Integrated Infrastructure Development Centre (IIDC ) scheme.
Notably, the Central government has approved projects worth Rs 99 crore for upgradation of key industrial infrastructure in Chhattisgarh in 2016-17.
The Centre has also approved an estimated Rs 54.81 crore for upgradation of infrastructure facilities at Urla Industrial Area and around Rs 44.60 crore for Sirgitti Industrial Area.
