'labourers' migration not because of unemployment'

BJP leader and scion of the royal family of Jashpur, Ranvijay Pratap Singh Judeo (in pic) on Monday termed the instances of migration of labourers from Jashpur region to bigger cities “a result of charm and glitter of metros and big cities among labourers rather than because of unemployment.”

“There are no unemployment issues in Jashpur region. The labourers had been migrating due to sheer glitter of big cities which I want to reverse,” he said while having an informal chat with The Pioneer. Judeo, who is all likely to be fielded by the party for Rajya Sabha member from Chhattisgarh for next month’s polls, said that his agenda in the Jashpur region also included generating awareness among the people not to cut trees in the densely forested areas around both Jashpur and Ambikapur regions.

“My sincere resolve is to see that the trees in the densely forested areas around Jashpur and Ambikapur are not felled by people. We need to protect the forests,” he remarked. On the BJP’s preparedness for the forthcoming lok Sabha polls in Chhattisgarh, Judeo said that the party was fully geared up for the polls with a determination to win all the 11 lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh this time round.

“We will make all out efforts to see Narendra Modiji as the Prime Minister of the country,” he said. On serving his native Jashpur region where the royal family had held sway for generations, Judeo said: “People of Jashpur have lot of love and support for me. I will never let them down.”
