With dissatisfaction over declaration of party tickets, a series of resignations are happening from the newly constituted political outfit of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, the Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) on regular basis.
After resignations of District president of JCC (J) and supporters in Koriya, now the Zila Panchayat President and a core group member of JCC (J) Kalawati Markam has tendered her resignation on Sunday.
Sources informed that she may likely join the Congress and will contest the polls as she had a talk with leader of Opposition over the telephone on Sunday. It is said that Kalawati was dissatisfied with the tickets distribution in JCC (J), if Congress sources are to be believed she is soon going to join hands with Congress.
Notable, earlier a couple of months ago Chirmiri Mayor Damrudhar Reddy and former Bilaspur Mayor Vibha Rao had quit JCC (J) and joined Congress before All India Congress Committee (AICC) Chief Rahul Gandhi.
Similarly, a senior JCC (J) leader Prakash Deshlahra when denied party ticket in Durg had raised the revolt. He, however, was pacified by party Supremo Ajit Jogi. He was made the lok Sabha in-charge of Durg Constituency of the party.
However, commenting on the resignations JCC (J) leader and legislator Amit Jogi said such persons who had joined the party for their vested interest are leaving the party as their aim was not being fulfilled. This is natural after declaration of party tickets and the same will happen even in the main political parties — Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress — will declare their tickets, he said.
