Sitting Mayor Kiranmayi Nayak and nine others on Monday collected nomination forms for the post of Mayor of Raipur on the first day of nomination for the urban body elections.
The others who collected the form for the post of Mayor include Shankerlal Varandani, Mukesh Kumar Chopra, Prataprai Wadhra, Ishwari Sahu, Horilal Yadav, Santosh Sharma, Vinod Kumar Rohra, Chetna Kumar Sen and Anil Pusadkar.
For the post of corporators, as many as 194 people collected nomination forms from the counters of District Election Office in the premises of the Collectorate.
Shail Deep filed nomination for the post of Corporator from Ward 49 in Zone number 4 of Raipur Municipal Corporation. The post is reserved for SC (Women).
