Popular Bhojpuri singer, actor and BJP leader Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal while saying that he had been colluding with anti-national elements to derive benefits for the Congress party.
‘Kejriwal who left Delhi ‘orphaned’ in 49 days as Chief Minister now stands exposed’, he said in a conference here.
‘The big talker Kejriwal who claimed of solving people’s problems have been handed over the people’s verdict on April 10 in Delhi where people have understood that it is only BJP
which can provide an able and stable government at the Centre’, Tiwari said.
On Delhi’s seven lok Sabha seats, the Bhojpuri star who himself had contested lok Sabha polls from North-East Delhi as a BJP candidate remarked, ‘As per the survey reports, BJP would bag six out of seven seats
in Delhi’.
At the same time, one would not be surprised if the BJP wins all the 11 lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh, he said.
To a query on why he joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) in 2009, he remarked : ‘It was a mistake. The Samajwadi Party exploited my stardom to the hilt which made me bid farewell to the party within three months’.
“I myself made the efforts to join the BJP and since last one-and-half years, I have hit the road to campaign for the party in various States,”
Tiwari said.
To another query on how many seats BJP is expecting to win in Uttar Pradesh, the actor-turned-politician stated that there is no doubt about the party is winning 50 to 55 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. ‘The root cause of this outcome would be Samajwadi Party’s bad governance and its vote bank politics based on caste’.
‘In Bihar, the BJP is expecting to win 28 to 30 out of 40 seats. People in Bihar know that if lalu Prasad Yadav’s party or any other party wins in Bihar, the Congress would form the government at the Centre. This is the reason behind a change in the people’s mindset who now understand that the formation of the BJP Government at the Centre is only in the country’s interests’, he remarked.
Tiwari said that the SP, BSP, Congress and other political parties have divided people on caste basis. ‘The Muslim brothers and sisters have now realised how political parties had been using them for their self interests.
It is unfortunate that nobody talks of corruption and scams. The SP, BSP and Congress played politics in the name of Muslims and Dalits but never worked for their welfare, Tiwari said.
