Keep up promise of Rs 2500 MSP on paddy, BJP to Cong

Chhattisgarh BJP while reacting to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s statement during a press conference on Sunday said as per promise made in party’s election manifesto, the Congress government has to procure the paddy from farmers at Rs 2500 per quintal on Minimum Support Price (MSP).

BJP state spokesperson Shrichand Sunderani said the recent continuous statements issued by Congress government is raising several doubts. First, loan waiver has been discontinued, then date of procurement has been extended and letters are being written to central government to divert the issue and mislead the farmers and public, he added.

BJP spokesperson said when before election, a question was raised by media regarding the funds to be utilised for loan waiver then Congress has given reply to it but now after forming government, the state has been pushed in a web of loan trap.

BJP leader claimed that government cannot be run on verbal jugglery and blaming the former state government and present central government to derive benefit, which will not work.
