Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Dharamlal Kaushik on Tuesday had categorically denied the charges of a woman accusing him of making indecent proposal. Kaushik said he never knew the woman.
Notable, the same woman had earlier filed an FIR against another BJP leader Prakash Bajaj for sexually harassing and criminally intimidating her. Bajaj is under judicial remand.
Meanwhile, the woman told media persons in a press conference on Tuesday that the incident in which she was harassed by Kaushik happened three days after Holi festival in 2017.
“Dharamlal Kaushik had applied colours on my cheeks despite my objections and he also made gestures suggesting to hug me,” the woman told reporters.
When asked why was she silent over the incident for two years, the woman said that she was under pressure not to disclose the matter.
On the other hand, president of BJP women’s wing Pooja Vidhani termed the allegations politically motivated and baseless.
