Member of Parliament Dinesh Kashyap inaugurated the three-day long ‘Baarasur Mahotsav-2015’ here. In his address, Kashyap said that only development can lead to bringing peace in Bastar and cultural events such as the mahotsava would put the region on the global tourism map. The mahotsava is a good opportunity for the people to have a glimpse of the performance of local as well as national level artists, he said.
He said that Bastar region comprises of so many places which are famous for their historical as well as cultural importance. District Panchayat CEO Dr Saransh Mittar, Dantewada Municipal Council President Deepak Karma, Geedam Nagar Panchayat President Abhilash Tiwari and others were present on the occasion.
