“Fifteen years ago, Dr Charandas Mahant had stolen my victory. This time it won’t happen, and if I get defeated, I would accept it. I have solid proof of muddle in the election this time, but it is not the proper time to reveal it. I have returned after a long political hibernation,” he said
Korea district is included in the Korba lok Sabha constituency. As such, how can I be an outsider for Korea district. Such kind of perceptions are of the Opposition only. I am ‘Arjun’ in this election battle and the charioteer will be declared soon, Dr Mahto said Discussing poll issues, Dr Mahato said that three-fourth of Hasdeo river passes through this district. Efforts would be ,made to ensure water utilization of it. Steps would be taken so that the residents of forest area get right benefits of forest produce and for the all round development of the forest villages. Korba is known for its power plant. Every effort would be made to strengthen it. The closed fertilizer factory will be reopened. He said that the time to come is of the BJP. “Our aim is of a country without Congress. Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, we are winning all the 11 seats of the state.”
The BJP’s objective is to establish India again as the world leader, he said, adding, 'my profession was to give relief to people from their illness. Now, through politics, diseases like problems of the area will be treated.' On being asked how he will fill such a huge gulf when the Congress got lead in three out of four assembly seats of the constituency, he said that the people have been perturbed with the central policies of the Congress and they would get reply of it in this election.
Regarding operation of Intercity Express by Dr Mahant, he said that people know that how much alert Dr Mahant was for the development of the area. This train has been started in a hurry after the budget. Word ‘Special’ is written on the ticket of Intercity, which means that the train will run for a few days.
On the agitation of oustees, he said that the problem has been from the time of Bodhram Kanwar, but efforts would be made that they might get justice. Mahto said that after winning the election, it would be his important desire that the residents of the district would get long-route trains, besides extension of rail lines for other routes.
