Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alex Paul Menon informed that the RDA had filed a caveat in the district court in this connection on Wednesday.

Sanjay Bajpai builders had encroached canal of Kamal Vihar and have started their  own project on the land. Talking to The Pioneer, Menon confirmed that the demarcation process was going on, especially on the canal portion which forms the boundary for the Kamal Vihar project. The demarcation work would be proceed on three levels, including Global Positioning System (GPS).

He said that Patwari survey would precede the GPS where after a total station survey would be undertaken. The three surveys would clear the extent of encroachment, he added.

“The report on the survey will be ready by next week,” CEO Menon said and added that several notices have been served on Sanjay Bajpai builders, but the department could not get any satisfactory reply on the issue.

Meanwhile, RDA Chairman Sunil Soni said that a caveat has been filed in the court. However, it would take some time to ascertain the exact position of the encroachment of land.
