Chhattisgarh Director General of Police Ashok Juneja on Monday directed Superintendents of Police (SPs) of all districts to immediately stop drug smuggling and quickly resolve cases related to chit fund scams.
He was addressing a virtual review meeting via video conferencing at the Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur, an official communication said.
He also instructed for disposal of political cases lodged against leaders and fake cases against tribals.
Juneja ordered a special watch on drug smuggling which he pledged to review after every 10 days.
He ordered all Inspectors General of Police (IGPs) and SPs to review cases at their level.
He warned of strict action if criminals were given protection and said there will be zero tolerance vis-a-vis corruption.
Juneja directed sensitive and immediate action on crimes against women and children.
He also wanted immediate action on sensitive issues such as religious conversion, communal and land disputes.
