Dr Rama Shankar Jha took charge of the Office of Director (Personnel) of the South Eastern Coalfields limited (SECl) here on Tuesday.
With a vast experience of more than 30 years Dr Jha has expertise oo issues related to personnel, administration, industrial relations, recruitment, security, skill development and Right to Information (RTI).
Prior to joining SECl, Dr Jha was posted as the General Manager (Personnel/Administration) with Mahanadi Coalfields limited, Odisha.
A native of Bihar, Dr Jha holds Honours degree in Economics and post graduate degree in labour and Social Welfare from Bhagalpur University. He also completed llB and was awarded Doctorate from the same university.
Dr Jha had worked with Hindustan Zinc limited as Manager (Personnel), National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) as Deputy GM (Personnel/Welfare) before joining Coal India limited. He was appointed as GM (Personnel/Welfare) of Western Coalfields limited (WCl) and later as GM (Personnel/Welfare) of Mahanadi Coalfields limited.
He was welcomed and congratulated by head of departments, senior officers, employees and labour organizations after assuming his office.
