Dr RS Jha, Director (Personnel), South Eastern Coalfields limited (SECl) received the ‘100 Most Talented Global HR leaders Award’ in the 23rd World HRD Congress held recently in Mumbai.
International figures and experts in the field of HR were among the panel which unanimously selected Dr Jha for the award, officials of the company said. Dr Jha who holds a post-graduate degree MA in labour and Social Welfare, llB and PhD from Bhagalpur University, had taken over as the Director (Personnel) of SECl in September 2014 and is presently amongst the Board of Directors of SECl.
He started his career in 1984 and worked with a number of organisations of repute including Hindustan Zinc limited and National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) before joining Coal India limited in 2011 as General Manager (Personnel/Welfare).
Initially, he was posted at the headquarters of Western Coalfields limited (WCl) at Nagpur and later shifted to Mahanadi Coalfields limited Sambalpur (Odisha) before taking charge as the Director (Personnel) with SECl.
With a vast experience Dr Jha is an expertise in personnel and administration. He has an equal command over other areas like industrial relations, recruitment, skill development and Right to Information (RTI).
