JCC (J)-BJP nexus exposed: Congress

Published on:

Chhattisgarh Congress on Saturday trained guns on Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) chief Ajit Jogi for seeking BJP’s support to move a no-confidence motion against the Congress government during the upcoming Chhattisgarh legislative assembly’s monsoon session.

Congress party while raking up Ajit Jogi’s caste issue, said that the move had exposed the nexus between the JCC(J) and the BJP.

“The relation between the JCC (J) and the BJP in Chhattisgarh’s politics is not a new thing. JCC(J) was formed to help the BJP and Raman Singh to remain in power and people of the state are well aware of this fact due to which they had rejected both parties in 2018 assembly elections,” state Congress communication department chairman Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said.

Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government has always worked for the benefit of the state, while Raman Singh government had deliberately committed procedural errors to scuttle a decision on caste dispute of Ajit Jogi, he said.

Trivedi claimed that Raman government just before the state assembly elections had withdrawn the recommendations of high-power committee constituted by the Chhattisgarh High Court to help Jogi.

“Since such things are not possible now, BJP and its B team have decided to come together,” Trivedi quipped.
