A ‘Jan Suvidha Express’ passenger transport service would soon be launched in the 11 sensitive routes of the South Bastar region of Dantewada, informed in an official statement issued here on Wednesday.

The service is being launched in joint association with the District Administration. The unemployed youth of the region would be offered Tata Majestic vehicles on  low cost and easy interest loans for offering the services on the sensitive routes.

The move will facilitate employment avenues for the unemployed youth as well as help in provision of transport facilities for the people residing in far flung areas of the State. The youth would have to apply for providing services from the place of origin of the routes, said in such statement.

The interested persons can apply in the Entry-Exit Branch of the District Panchayat at Dantewada on April 25. The selection of the beneficiaries of the scheme would be made on April 27 at the conference room of the District Panchayat through a lottery system.

CEO, District Panchayat Neeraj Bansod said that the 11 routes had been determined for facilitating transport of people living in the interior areas of the region. He said that the applicants would need to compulsorily have the current Drivers license. Bansod said that one applicant can apply for providing the service in only one route.
