Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Monday performed Bhumi Pujan of a 50-bed Critical Care Health Block at the Jagdalpur Government Medical College campus.
He also laid the foundation stone for a Community Health Centre and the divisional office of the Food and Drug Administration Department at Bastar.
Bastar MP Deepak Baij and other public representatives were present, an official communication said.
The Minister also conducted a surprise visit to the Lohandiguda Community Health Centre. He inquired about the facilities being extended to patients and the availability of medicines.
The Minister also visited the Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) at Singhanpur in Tokapal development block. He bought biscuits manufactured by a bakery run by a women's group.
