It's time for war of words between Raman, Jogi

The poll time war of words between former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ajit Jogi and Chief Minister Raman Singh in Chhattisgarh is about to begin with interesting debates between the two political stalwarts expected at various political forums during the ensuing Assembly polls in the State.

Singh seemed to be immensely ‘delighted’ on Wednesday over the development that Jogi had been made Convenor of the Congress Election Committee by the Congress High Command. In a statement here on Wednesday, Singh stated that now it would be easy for the people to compare the performance of the governments during the two regimes.

‘Now the people will remember the Congress rule in Chhattisgarh in which they decided to reject the party in the very first Assembly polls held in the State,’ he said.

Singh said that the people can compare on one hand the regime of fear and terror during the Congress rule and  a decade of development during the BJP rule. By making Jogi as the Convenor of the Congress Election Committee, the Congress party is indicating to whom it is readying to hand over the regins of Chhattisgarh, he said.

State BJP Spokesperson Ajay Chandrakar said that there was no development during the Congress rule in Chhattisgarh. The regime saw only dictatorship instead of helping the poor, farmers, employees and the unemployed. Instead of strengthening the foundation of a newly formed State, the Congress rule through its dictatorial policies made it a haven for anti social elements, he said.

Chandrakar said that the Jogi government crossed all limits of corruption. BJP State General Secretary Shivratan Sharma said that the people of the State got what they did not get in three years of Jogi government and 50 years of Congress rule in the country.

BJP State General Secretary Bhupendra Savanni said that the Congress party wants the regime of hunger, fear, atrocities and corruption to come back to Chhattisgarh.
