ITI trainees seek Collector's help

Published on:

Upset over pending payment of scholarship amount for past five months, the ITI trainees finally approached Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale and handed over a memorandum, complaining against the Principal.

The memorandum handed over to Collector Kangale, mentions  that there is a provision to give scholarship to the students of ITI every month. “Earlier the payment was regular but it is pending for past five months. Whenever they had discussed this matter with the Principal, they had received only assurances each time. The attitude of the Principal seems ignorant towards this issue which is troubling the students,’’ the memorandum reads.

The memorandum further reads that there are several students who come from rural area and their economical condition is not good enough to make payment of the college. Their monthly fee is paid through scholarship amount but delay in payment of scholarship had put them in serious trouble. Also the students of ITI hailing from the backward and rural area, informed that they are facing much difficulty due to delay in the payment of scholarship. They were already managing with the improper accommodation facility made for them as the hostel provided to them has no proper facility.
