The Income Tax Department sleuths carried out a survey exercise in the premises of city-based Anopchand Tilokchand Jewellers Pvt. ltd. located in Sadar Bazar locality on Friday.
According to sources in the Department, a team of officials accompanied by police personnel reached the shop and Office of the jeweller to look for possible tax evasion records, sources said.
During the survey, the sleuths also collected some documents from the shop for scrutiny. The digital documents and computer hard drives were also examined by the officials in the office, sources revealed.
Notably, Anopchand Tilokchand Jewellers Pvt. ltd. also famous as 'AT Jewellers' is among the oldest jewellers of Raipur city. The multi-crore group in the past few years has also moved to real estate sector and has constructed mega residential as well as commercial projects in Raipur and Dhamtari districts.
