The Income Tax Department (IT) sleuths swooped down upon a Sari store located in Mahalakshmi Wholesale Market at Pandri locality here on Monday.
The raid was carried out at ‘Fashion Sari Centre’ by a team of IT sleuths. There was information about alleged tax evasion happening at the Shop, IT sources said.
According to sources, during the raid, several documents were seized and close scrutiny of electronic records was carried out to unearth possible tax evasions.
