It is mandatory to take vaccination certificate

nThe Indian government said on Thursday that those getting the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine should demand a vaccination certificate from the hospital. It can be taken as hard copy or online.

If a hospital declines to give the certificate free, a complaint can be lodged on toll free number 1075, an official communication said.

From April 1, all those above 45 years can go for vaccination. This will cover all those born before January 1, 1977.

Those going for vaccination can register themselves online with CoWIN portal or directly visit a vaccination centre for registration.

It is mandatory for everyone to take the certificate, based on which the second dose of vaccine will be administered.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said the best period for taking the second vaccine is after 6 to 8 weeks but it should not cross 8 weeks.
