The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday asked the Chhattisgarh government to issue a White Paper on the economic situation of the state.
The demand was been made at a joint conference by the party on completion of two-and-a-half year rule of the Baghel government on June 17. Former Chief Minister Raman Singh said the state's total expenditure is Rs 80,126 crores while the revenue expenditure is Rs 70 crores. The 88 percent of the expenditure is expended on grants, subsidy and payment of loans. This is the reason for the bankruptcy of the state government, he said.
Singh the Congress had no achievement since taking office. The revenue deficit of the government is the highest since the inception of the state.
