Is it ‘disgusting' to show grief, Kaushik asks Cong

Published on:

Leader of Opposition in the Chhattisgarh Assembly Dharamlal Kaushik on Friday took on the Congress, asking the ruling party if it is "disgusting" to express grief over the death of five people in a family.

Kaushik said that Congress state President Mohan Markam's criticism of former Chief Minister and BJP leader Dr Raman Singh over a BJP delegation's visit to Kendri village in Raipur district was in poor taste.

Kaushik asked how the   reaction of the BJP on the demise of five people of a family in     suspicious circumstances is     disgusting for the ruling party.

Five members of a family, including two children, were found dead at their home in the village on Tuesday.

The Congress is doing       politics on the death of the five, Kaushik alleged, adding that the family should be given financial help and provided justice.

Markam had said that Raman Singh did not express grief when over 15,000 farmers committed suicide, 17 women died in a sterilization camp and hundreds of elderly people lost their vision after botched eye surgeries during the previous BJP regime.
