Expecting some 40,000 two and four wheelers to be parked at the designated places during the IPl event, an elaborate parking arrangement is being made for the event, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) Amit Kataria said on Thursday, informed in an official statement here on Thursday.
Kataria today took stock of the preparations underway for the IPl matches to be held at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium at Parsada village in Naya Raipur on April 28 and May 1 this year.
The CEO took updates on the parking, traffic and lighting arrangements at the stadium. He said that elaborate arrangements for managing traffic, power supply and parking are being made for the IPl event . The parking arrangement is being made in an estimated 200 acres of land in the vicinity of the stadium.
On a demand made by villagers, the contract for parking places had been offered, as per a decision taken, to the concerned panchayats during the matches, Kataria said.
He said that regular announcements would be made at the parking places using loud speakers to prevent any inconvenience caused to the people arriving at the
stadium.
