Interim Budget directionless: CM

Published on:

Chief Minister Raman Singh has termed the interim budget of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre tabled in the lok Sabha  on Monday as ‘directionless.’ ‘The UPA government could have learnt something from Chhattisgarh on fiscal management which it didn’t’, he remarked while talking to reporters here.

The Chief Minister said that the UPA government went for the ‘Vote on Account’ to present the interim budget in a bid to plug too many holes in its budget but in vain. Singh said that the UPA government’s monetary system is playing into the hands of vested interests. The Centre, before passing the Food Security Bill should have made advance arrangements like the Chhattisgarh government did before coming out with the Food Security law in the State, Singh said.
