Election Commission of India has chalked out special action plan for promoting voter education and for encouraging the participation of voters in the elections. Commission has also appealed for the cooperation and support of media in the same.
In the same sequence, a workshop will be organised for media representatives on July 4 at the conference hall of New Circuit House at Civil lines, Raipur, in the presence of Director General of Election Commission of India Akshay Raut, Said in an official statement issued here on Wednesday.
This workshop will begin from morning 10.30 and will conclude by 12.30 pm. On the occasion, Director General of Election Commission of India Raut will address the media-persons of print and electronic media and have deliberations over various aspects of the topic. State's Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Kumar Kujur has appealed all the media-persons to mark their presence in the workshop to be organised on July 4.
