India has attracted global attention towards Yoga, stated Chhattisgarh Higher Education Minister Prem Prakash Pandey while addressing a ‘Yoga Training and Contemplation Camp’ for the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers at the Indira Gandhi Agriculture University (IGAU) Raipur here on Sunday.

He called upon the students to identify their energy and work accordingly towards achieving goals in life.

“From the point of health, Yoga is beneficial for people of all age. It helps in mental and physical development,” the Minister said. So far we used to focus on anything the world told us; but Yoga is what in which we have attracted world’s attention and today people in several nations are practicing Yoga. This is a pleasing experience, he added.

More and more people are thinking about Yoga this is in the national interest as well as in public interest, the Minister said.

“We all have been taught in our childhood that ‘Yog’ means to add and any person who adds anything in his life whether it may be knowledge, money or other thing, they become powerful. A powerful person can contribute in a positive way towards betterment of society,” Pandey said.

He asked the NSS volunteers to include in their life whatever they learn during the camp then only this camp would be meaningful.

Vice Chancellor IGAU Dr SK Patil, State Coordinator of NSS Samrendra Singh along with others were also present on the occasion.
